The origination of #Global is quite simple. IRC hasn't been a very welcoming chat service for the community to speak with each other simply because some players decide to ruin the experience for others.

Because the new "Chat" feature is now linked directly with the Toribash website, there needs some form of regulated, mandated, mature and fun area where people can gather without worrying about harsh conflicts with certain, more..anger invoking, players. This is where #Global comes in. Rather than having the IRC public channel where you all converse be the same location of less helpful members who follow 0 restrictions intruding on your fun, now a safely monitored IRC channel has opened up for your own personal use.

This channel isn't affiliated with a tight clique which responds poorly with new members. #Global should remain a place for the players who joined yesterday, the players who joined a year ago, and the players are considered "Old-Schoolers".
