It looks good, but the final result looks still sketchy, don't you think so?
Probably because of those rough lines. Lack of midtones as well and some of these creatures look more detailed than the other ones. Lizard/snake eye looks weird, I don't know if that was made on purpose but you know I'm sure that their eyes have a recognizable shape. Some of them do have round eye, that's true but I've never seen them having a "relaxed" sight, you know what I mean? And birds' eyes looking plain comparing to that lizard eye, would be cool to add some contrast to them, make them live. I can see some black lines that look out of the picture.

I guess that's due to a reason that there are no intermediate color between them and the light part. I didn't quite get where's the light source, looks like from the left upper corner, right? I see a big shiny splash behind them, you could take it as a second light source and add some light on their necks, adding more dynamic to the picture overall.
I like the colors, nice, keep it up.
