I use Audacity for that, it's free and easy to use. Just open the audio file and cut the pieces of music that you don't want. You can also add effects like fade or increase the volume (be careful, it ruins the overall quality of the audio file).

Then export the file in the format you want, that for kiai it's a .wav I think?
