They're usually something like "j_r_elbow.tga" (right elbow) for example.

I'm also not sure about using head texures for the template. I know that they're based off the head text, but I don't know if it's completely accurate. It could be off slightly off or majorly off when you check it out.

Joints that are on the left or right side are respectively named j_l_(bodypart).tga/j_r_(bodypart).tga
the (bodypart) is just the joint name. pecs, wrist, knee, e.t.c. The centralized joints - neck, chest, lumbar and abs - don't have a left or right indicator. Those are just j_(bodypart).tga
