Thats cause your gpu doesnt support opengl 2 - jeez, im a dumbass...
Before posting here . do a google search to see if your graphic card support pixel shader 2 and opengl 2

Whoops, you appear to have insulted youself! How very unfortunate! Perhaps if you hadn't flamed in the first place, then this might've not happened! ~3vi1

geez sorry >_> i saw other people with same graphics card using shaders so i thought id ask, didn't know that asking a question was a crime
I apologise for Skillz's rather rude post. However, he is correct. Shaders won't work without OpenGL support. StellarNinja, you appear to be experiencing the same problem.
Bullfrog13: A few members are having trouble with the X600 for some reason I can't explain. I would suggest that you upgrade, but that won't be possible due to the iMac...

Ive got a solution, it worked for me. Get a super high end gaming computer, and you wont ever have to worry about a thing for atleast 10 years.

The error messages from console say alot of things, one says OpenGl2 not supported. However, some messages in this thread and in some places online, it says my graphics card does support OpenGl2. Does anyone know for sure? Is there a driver/update I don't now about? Any help would be appreciated.

Try updating your graphics drivers. They are available here:
