Yes, true, but bevel is kinda noob to be honest. If you do it manually, it comes out a lot more original, and unique. That's why i am teaching this style, to help beginners find their own.

That's actually incorrect. To do bevel & emboss you have to download a certain Script-Fu, I'm not sure where to find it. I'll try to find it for you, Chreeys.

That is once you've downloaded the Script-Fu.
