Hmm, after I made a path, and I selected bucket to fill it in, the path disappears. Any help?

Heres one suggestion... If gimp has the layer style feature, use that. It allows drop shadow, inner glow, all of the things that dont require manual work with simmilar results. If gimp doesnt have this feature, it is in photoshop. I just suggested it because it has helped me a lot in photoshop.
