wth? pov-ray works for screenshots but not videos! when i load a video it goes dark blue and i hear short-length music

wtf, there's no support for music in pov-ray

Hmm, I'm a bit of a POVRayer. Perhaps I could help here a bit.

Everyone who gets a dark blue screen when they want to make a video or screenshot:

1) Make sure you're rendering animation.pov, and not some other file.
2) For video, make sure you follow all the steps in the tutorial. Input start and end frames, or else povray won't know what values to give the frame_number variable.

For animating textures and whatnot, you can also define Initial_clock and Final_clock (usually 0 and 1, respectively), which lets you use the clock variable. Handy.

I'm still having problems if I Double-click the pov file all it does is ask wich program I want to open it with =S

After i render my vid, it only gives me pics and not the vid, help?

this is what pov-ray does with animations, open the first frame in virtual dub, then save to avi

I use VideoWave or Windows Movie maker.. this is seriously confusing

yeah you can use them later ;), get http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ , save the frames to avi, then you can work in wmm or whatever.
