I have been having small issues with the forums recently. I don't know whats causing it.

When ever I rep a post it opens a new window instead of the popup.
I can no longer double click to rename threads. < hanz0 explained a way around that
When ever I edit a post it opens in a new window instead staying in the same window.

I have tried to do these things of several different clients and computers and its all the same

I can still do everything but its not as good as it used to be. Are these features being worked on or did they somehow get worse?

AJAX, which is the feature that allowed the rep box to appear in the first place, has been disabled. This means that a lot of the features that used to not require a page load now do.

This was done for speed improvements, so you win some and you lose some.

Well it kinda made the forums slightly more user friendly.

Do you know if it will ever come back?

Probably not, since veb loves fast forums. (Don't go PMing him about it either, he's apt to ban you.)
