how do i do private messages? i cant figure it out

The easiest way is to click on User CP, which is on the bar above this topic title. Then, on the left side of the page you will see a list of options. Look for Private Messaging and click Send New Message.

Or click a name on someone you wanna send a PM then click 'Send a private message to --'

Enter the name of the person you want to send it to as well. A little dropdown menu will show the list of names. ;) Just click the right one.
