Shaders'll easily run on a 128Mb card of any sort, and would probably do much better with higher memory.

Nah mate, the card has to support OPEN GL 2.0, my card has 128MB and does not run shaders .. because it doesn't support OPEN GL 2.0. It's some old ATI one.

My dad has a Nvidia Gefore 7600 GS and it runs ALL aspects of shaders, its about $50 US i believe, possibly cheaper. So that ones a great option.
(Not sure how many MB to be honest, most probably 256mb)
It runs all games i play perfectly, Counter-Strike .. Garry's Mod, COD, COD 2 .. it's a great card for the price, try reading some reviews for it.
