1) Because then people will come here looking for a tutorial and find a question instead and that doesn't help them and then they've wasted a bunch of time

So here's what you do:

1) You delete or move away the thread so it doesn't fill the forums with useless shit

Here's what you don't do:

1) Just close the thread, because the forum still gets filled with useless shit which defeats the point of having the rule to begin with.

A capitalized sticky should be enough. And for the people for whom it's not, they don't deserve to be on these forums anyway.

Of course a capitalized sticky can be hard to find if there are like 30 capitalized stickies in one subforum, but hey. Apparently it works here.

I never said that the rules shouldn't be enough, they really should. But apparently they aren't, if they were we wouldn't need moderators in the first place, just an admin to ban the assholes that deliberately break the rules.
