It's designed to look like the old cellshading from retro toribash. It give the tori a black outline basically.

Typhon pretty much summed it up,

I found that cel shading works well with cartoon sets/textures.

You can preview what it looks like on your tori to see if you like it or not by clicking the following.

Menu > Torishop > Full Toris > Full Toris > Cel Shading

If you change your mind you can always ask buy it from the the Items sub-forum. Buying from other users usually is the best (price wise).
