I go into Setup > Options, click the shaders box, and it closes/reopens it quick, but the shaders don't show up. It's just the same, and when I go back into options, it shows the shaders are unchecked.

Anyone with a similar problem/any help? I want my game to look super smexy.

You have to update your graphics card's drivers.
